Admission Procedure

Students will be selected for admission purely on a merit basis and in accordance with the ordinances of Rajiv Gandhi University and the Government of Arunachal Pradesh. A candidate must secure a minimum of 40% marks in the qualifying examination to be eligible to apply. The Principal, Government College Doimukh, reserves the right to make the final decision on all matters related to admission.

Intake Capacity [As notified by the Government]

BA First Semester: 750

B.Com First Semester: 120

Total: 870 

05 seats are reserved for PWD, Sports, NCC & NSS

Eligibility Criteria for Admission: BA and B.Com I Semester

• An applicant seeking admission to BA and B.Com First Semester must have passed AISSCE [10+2] or an equivalent examination from a recognised Board/University with five papers, including English as a compulsory subject.
• The applicant must have secured a minimum of 40% aggregate marks in the qualifying examination [Class XII]. However, applicants from non-catchment areas must have 45% or above to be eligible to apply. All admissions will strictly follow merit, based on qualifying examination results.
• Admission will be granted as per the catchment norms issued by the Government of Arunachal Pradesh. Preference will be given to candidates belonging to Papum Pare District. A limited number of seats [as prescribed by the Government] will be available to candidates from non-catchment areas purely on the basis of merit.

For BA and B.Com  I Semester, a total of 05 seats are reserved for Persons with Disabilities [PWD], National-level Sports Persons, and certified NSS & NCC volunteers of Arunachal Pradesh, irrespective of catchment area. If no candidate applies under these categories, the seats will be reallocated to the catchment area.

• Original Class XII Marks Sheet with two self-attested copies
• Transfer Certificate [Original] from the institution last attended [Mandatory]
• Migration Certificate [Original] with one self-attested copy [for students from other states/CBSE]
• CUET marksheet
• ST/SC Certificate [one self-attested copy]
• Character Certificate from the institution last attended
• Recent passport-size photographs: 5 copies for APST & 4 copies for Non-APST
  [Name and class must be written on the back of each photograph]
• One Xerox copy of Aadhaar Card
• One self-attested Xerox copy of PRC [for candidates seeking admission under catchment area]

Note: All original documents must be produced at the time of admission for verification.

BA and B.Com II / III / IV / V / VI Semester

• Students seeking admission to BA and B.Com Second, Third, Fourth, Fifth, or Sixth Semesters must have passed the corresponding lower semester examinations conducted by RGU.
• Students placed under the category of Pass with Back Paper[s] may also seek admission, subject to the fulfilment of other required criteria.
• Recent passport-size photographs: 3 copies of recent passport-size photographs with [Name and class must be written on the back of each photo]

• Marks Sheet of the last qualifying examination [two self-attested copies]
• University Registration Card [one self-attested copy]
• ST/SC Certificate [one self-attested copy]
